The Lockhart Chamber of Commerce and many of Lockhart's local businesses have welcomed Excalibur to Caldwell County, and helped make the move less traumatic than it could have been. Special thank yous go to Scott Ritchey and the Market Street Pub, President of the Chamber of Commerce Wayne Bock, and Kelly Stevens and Just Off the Square Printing.
Special Thanks also to those deputies of the Caldwell County Sheriff's Department who provided security for the faire, and to the Dale Volunteer Fire Department for providing Excalibur with water.

The Texas State Legislature has named Lockhart as "The Barbecue Capitol of Texas". There are four BBQ restaurants in Lockhart. The restaurants estimate that about 5,000 people visit their establishments each week. This would be roughly 260,000 people a year who eat BBQ in Lockhart. Texas Monthly Magazine said 'Smitty's Market' and 'Kreuz Market' are among the best in the state. Black's Barbecue is known worldwide and Chisholm Trail Barbecue rounds out the city's barbecue royalty.
